Constructive Response
ISTEP (Round 1) starts next week. This session is composed of constructive response questions, no multiple choice.
This week Team 184 practiced some strategies for rocking the test. One of the strategies we practiced was using the words from the question to answer the question. Also, using ideas from the text is super important!
C3-PO
Do you know what C3-PO stands for in Room 184? Well, the three Cs stand for CREATIVITY, CAPABILITY, and CURIOSITY. The PO = Projects/OxBow.
Once a week Team 184 gets an hour to work on their own projects. Here are some of the things they do:
- Write plays
- Choreograph dances
- Research
- Write newsletters
- Create videos
- Art: Draw, make collages
- Create photo montages
- Screencasts
At the end we have a sharing time. It is fun to see ideas come to life!
Problem Solving
We worked together as teams to figure out how to solve a math problem. Then we got a chance to explain our thinking to our classmates. It was hard, but we did it.

My First Day of Kindergarten
The first day of kindergarden was really fun.first we introduced our selfes on the alphabet carpet. I was very happy to introduce myself . next we met the classes fiers pet Ginny pig Oreos. (he likes to bite peopls fingers)"I cant whate to take him home for the sad weekend." I thout wile looking at him. Next we had fun rotatoins. I'm stoked to play with playdou. That day was as exsiding as a birthday party:). I wish I could go back to kindergarden. my first specil was art;). We did finger panting next we had lunch and reeces. lunch was pancakes. it was hard to make freinds at that school. "I wish we can have this for lunch everyday." I thought as I ate my lunch. I was swinging and sliding at recces. I felt like I was all alone. everyone in my class is very nice. at the end I walk home knowing that today is the best day ever.:)
